Job Title: Digital Event Trading Lead
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Event Trading Lead to join our team at Sainsbury's. As a key member of our Digital team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences through key events and campaign moments throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, plan, and execute customer events throughout the year, working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including Marketing and the wider Ecommerce teams.
- Ensure that events are meticulously planned, helping to maximize trading potential and customer engagement across relevant digital customer channels.
- Define and brief necessary content and on-site componentry to ensure assigned events and campaigns have a fitting presence across the site.
- Seek necessary input from Digital Trading category experts to ensure key lines and promotions are surfaced where relevant to the event or campaign.
- Ensure Digital event plans mirror corporate ambitions, tailoring to unique channel customer needs.
- Work closely with Marketing and Commercial teams to evaluate event performance.
- Course-correct and amend event plans according to customer response, commercial, and digital metrics.
- Manage the communication of event and campaign performance.
- Ensure Online Operations and planning terms understand key event activation and align to delivering an optimal customer experience.
- Help build robust processes and lead a consistent approach to event planning and execution.
- Represent the wider Trade Planning team in event planning across the business.
- Work collaboratively with the Digital Operations Centre, design, analytics, and implementations teams to activate and iterate event performance.
- Manage the coordination of analytics during events and lead digital post-event reviews to identify key learnings and opportunities.
- Work with Customer Insight and other analytical teams to understand key customer trends and bring them to life through digital event propositions.
- Be the digital expert on competitor execution, bringing learnings across key teams.
- Work collaboratively across Sainsbury's brands to identify cross-group shopping opportunities for customers.
- Support the Digital Customer and Event Manager and be the key contact for selected colleagues in marketing.
- Own and deliver ecommerce-specific customer projects as required.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience working within a Digital team in a large-scale retailer.
- Deep understanding of factors informing online customer shopping behavior.
- Proven ability to manage projects on time and to budget.
- Strong analytical and numerical capability, with an understanding of online analytics.
- Ability to anticipate future risks, opportunities, and next steps within the area, taking actions to address them.
