Job Requirements:

You must have your own 3.5-tonne van or access to one, along with all the necessary insurances.

Please note that if you do not currently own or have access to a 3.5-tonne vehicle, you must be in a financial position to lease or purchase one. You will also need to have all insurances (Goods in Transit, Public Liability & Hire and Reward) in place prior to starting.

This is a self-employed, owner-driver position that requires working 7 days a week.

Menzies Distribution is seeking 4 self-employed drivers to provide a first-class service on behalf of the company and its customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load your vehicle safely and within legislation.
  • Deliver parcels to our customers safely, efficiently, and on time.
  • Ensure the security of the vehicle and goods during transit to the customer.
  • Uplift previous day's orders.
  • Complete all documentation as per company procedure.
  • Break down, allocate, and load inbound supplies.
  • Keep the warehouse safe, clean, and tidy.
  • Adhere to company procedures and policies.

Requirements:

  1. Full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
  2. No previous disqualifications (NI, DD, or DR).
  3. Solid local geographical knowledge of commercial addresses and streets.
  4. Physically fit to meet the demands of a multi-drop driving and warehouse role.
  5. Hardworking, positive, and flexible attitude to work.
  6. Will undergo a background check and drug/alcohol test if successful.
