Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading the team in the CAT unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care to children and young people in the CAT unit, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Lead the team in the day-to-day management of the unit, including attendance management, audits, and change management.
  • Support the Band 7 in the management of the unit, including coordination of activities and communication with the medical team.
  • Act as a role model, promoting quality evidence-based practice and developing the nursing team.
Requirements
  • Significant post-registration experience at staff nurse level or equivalent.
  • Working with a wide range of professionals, including medical, nursing, and management colleagues.
  • Audit and standard-setting experience.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • Clinical experience within the specialty.
  • Leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage stress and prioritize tasks effectively.
