Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to:
- Utilizing various Excel spreadsheets to ensure accurate data entry
- Providing assistance and support in general administrative tasks within a transport planning and customer service framework
- Reviewing delivery driver documentation and paperwork
- Conducting vehicle inspections and checks
- Coordinating collections and deliveries
- Requesting quotes from third-party transport providers
- Updating the internal operating system
- Supporting the Transport Manager with diverse tasks
Additional Responsibilities
- This list is not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned as skill sets evolve.
Required Qualifications
- GCSE in English and Mathematics or equivalent
- Preferred NVQ in Business Administration or related field
- IT GCSE or equivalent
- Proficient IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data management
- Adaptability to various processes and tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of EU driver’s hours regulations and Working Time Directive
