Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Utilizing various Excel spreadsheets to ensure accurate data entry
  • Providing assistance and support in general administrative tasks within a transport planning and customer service framework
  • Reviewing delivery driver documentation and paperwork
  • Conducting vehicle inspections and checks
  • Coordinating collections and deliveries
  • Requesting quotes from third-party transport providers
  • Updating the internal operating system
  • Supporting the Transport Manager with diverse tasks

Additional Responsibilities

  • This list is not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned as skill sets evolve.

Required Qualifications

  • GCSE in English and Mathematics or equivalent
  • Preferred NVQ in Business Administration or related field
  • IT GCSE or equivalent
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management
  • Adaptability to various processes and tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of EU driver’s hours regulations and Working Time Directive
