Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Support Specialist to join our team at Selby Jennings. As a key member of our Trade Operations team, you will be responsible for managing our live trading environment, specifically one of the top electronic trading platforms worldwide.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be in charge of managing order flow from the front office trading desks, responding to market alerts and outages, and collaborating with third parties and exchanges to support trading. Additionally, you will use scripting knowledge to automate tasks, such as Python, Bash, or Perl.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first line of support covering the European hours
  • Manage order flow from the front office trading desks
  • Respond to market alerts and outages
  • Collaborate with third parties and exchanges to support trading
  • Use scripting knowledge to automate tasks

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 3+ years of experience in the hedge fund space
  • Experience working with low-latency, high-frequency systems obligatory
  • Proven track record working on Linux/Unix systems, knowledge of shell scripting
  • Python for automation purposes and coding
  • Strong communication skills (interfacing with clients, external and internal)
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of Market Data/Order Entry systems and an interest in electronic trading
