Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a 3-month contract. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in operating Walking Floor Trailers and Ejectors. This role involves early starts at 06:00 AM, Monday to Friday, with the potential for additional hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles with Walking Floor Trailers and Ejectors.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Transport goods efficiently and securely, adhering to delivery schedules.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring secure and balanced weight distribution.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle operations.
  • Comply with all road transport regulations and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with the logistics team and clients.

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license.
  • Proven experience with Walking Floor Trailers and Ejectors.
  • Up-to-date CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
  • Digital Tachograph card.
  • Strong knowledge of UK road networks and traffic regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • A strong commitment to safety and compliance.
