We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director to lead our Preclinical Research and Development efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development of our medicines from preclinical discovery to clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Preclinical Research and Development Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for preclinical research and development, ensuring alignment with our company's overall goals and objectives.
- Manage Preclinical Research Teams: Supervise and manage a team of researchers and scientists, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of preclinical studies.
- Develop and Implement Research Strategies: Design and implement research strategies to support the development of our medicines, including the development of pharmacology data and the coordination of third-party collaborations.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Oversee the preparation and submission of preclinical data to regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with Clinical Development and Intellectual Property Teams: Work closely with our Clinical Development and Intellectual Property teams to provide non-clinical pharmacology expertise and identify opportunities for intellectual property development.
- Education: BSc, MSc or Advanced Degree in Pharmacology or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience: Significant track record of driving preclinical and non-clinical research within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO company.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of relevant legislation and guidelines pertinent to preclinical drug development and pharmaceutical drug development, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead research programmes, teams, and projects, including budget and/or CapEx/OpEx spend.
