Assistant Psychologist

About the Role

Cygnet Health Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Aspen House. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality psychological care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the psychology team to develop and deliver weekly psychology groups.
• Conduct START risk assessments and update them as necessary.
• Provide one-to-one support to inpatients, including administration and scoring of psychological tests and assessments.
• Co-produce formulations with patients and draft reports.
• Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
• Participate in regular weekly supervision.

Requirements

• Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS).
• A minimum of 6 months previous paid work experience as an Assistant Psychologist in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior knowledge or experience of DBT, CBT, and third-wave therapies.
• Good IT skills.
