Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at VGC Personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and controlling all mechanical site activities on a large rail project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and control all mechanical site activities to ensure efficient execution, adherence to specifications, and compliance with contract time and cost allowances.
• Support the site manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners, and visitors.
• Ensure accurate recording of relevant health and safety documents.
• Verify that all relevant documents accurately describe the work to be carried out.
• Supervise work to ensure it is performed in accordance with method statements and work instructions from the project manager.
• Record progress of works on record drawings or other suitable means when required.
• Inspect and record incoming materials and their documentation when necessary.
• Record the location of materials within the works where traceability is required.
• Record all non-conformance and improvement opportunities and agree action with the person in charge of the works.
• Recognize the importance of health and safety considerations in all tasks and contribute to ensuring safe working environments for all.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Mechanical Supervisor position.
• Experience working within large Civils projects, with rail experience being desirable.
• Mechanical or industry experience is essential.
