About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team at IMI Norgren. As a key member of our Industrial Automation Division, you will be responsible for designing and developing new products for our industrial controls market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptual design and development of new products through our internal NPD business process
  • Design of industrial control components and assemblies
  • Generation of 3D CAD models and 2D part/assembly drawings
  • Writing technical reports
  • Design calculations and application of advanced simulation techniques
  • Designing and managing Design Verification Plans
  • Participating in activities with cross-disciplinary project teams within the region
  • Supporting project managers with reporting on project progress
  • Domestic and foreign travel may be required to support customer meetings and supplier visits
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
  • Diploma in Computer-Aided Design and some practical experience of CAE tools (such as FEA/CFD/Moldflow) would be advantageous
  • 3-5 years of component design experience with a good understanding of industrial control components or similar is required
