Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Design Technician to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in the design and development of products and projects. As a Design Technician, you will create detailed design drawings, collaborate with designers and engineers, and develop prototypes and product models.
Key Responsibilities- Design Support: Collaborate with designers and engineers to translate conceptual ideas into detailed technical drawings and plans using Adobe Illustrator.
- Adobe Illustrator Proficiency: Utilize Adobe Illustrator to create accurate 2D and vector-based 3D drawings, schematics, and blueprints, ensuring illustrations comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and design specifications with Adobe Illustrator.
- Sample Development: Work hands-on to build, assemble, and test prototypes, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards. Identify and troubleshoot design issues as they arise.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and other technicians, to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in design and engineering. Propose process improvements and innovative solutions.
- Strong verbal and written skills are essential.
- Degree in design is preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and other relevant design tools.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Prior experience in a design or technical role is preferred.
