Job Summary

This role requires a highly motivated and experienced Financial Accountant to play an active part in the Finance Department, supporting our continued growth across the EMEA region. The successful candidate will work closely with the Manager of Finance to complete routine accounting tasks, take ownership of month-end processes, and support ad-hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and finalise monthly accounts, compliant with Group reporting GAAP and country-specific GAAP.
  • Lead the coordination of external audit fieldwork activities, supporting the Manager of Finance.
  • Maintain strong balance sheet control through monthly reconciliations and reviews.
  • Perform monthly P&L review analyses in collaboration with FP&A colleagues.
  • Provide feedback to Finance and non-Finance colleagues to ensure accounting corrections are made at source.
  • Ensure monthly routine postings are maintained and processes documented.
  • Build relationships and liaise with external providers, such as tax advisors and auditors.
  • Provide support to the corporate and FP&A teams on technical accounting queries and issues.
  • Assist in Corporation Tax reporting and returns, working with the Tax team.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and manage capital expenditure projects.
  • Identify and post prepayments and accruals, ensuring supporting documentation is in place.
  • Review intercompany accounts reconciliations for EMEA companies.
  • Support the Manager of Finance with process improvement and identify control weaknesses.

Requirements

  • Part-Qualified or Qualified ACCA or CIMA (or overseas equivalent).
  • Prior experience in a similar role.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Strong attention to detail and taking pride in work.
  • Good communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Organisational skills and the proven ability to manage a diverse workload to deadlines.
  • Moderate/advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to coach and develop others.
  • Experience of using ERP systems, with use of JDE an advantage.
