Are you prepared to elevate your professional journey? Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Supervisor with a background in the water industry, specifically within the Southern Water Framework.
Role Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Operations Supervisor, you will assist the site manager in ensuring a secure working environment for all personnel, subcontractors, and visitors, guaranteeing that tasks are executed to the utmost standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the electrical design team in specifying electrical systems and addressing general electrical design challenges. Overseeing electrical subcontractors to maintain high health and safety standards and conducting inspections of electrical installations to ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
- Reviewing and approving Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for electrical installation projects.
- Supervising electrical subcontractors and managing electrical operations.
- Participating in Factory Acceptance Tests and ensuring all identified issues are resolved.
- Conducting plant labeling in accordance with Southern Water specifications.
- Providing essential information to the Technical Author for the development of the Operations and Maintenance Manual.
- Managing and supervising subcontractors as necessary.
- Maintaining a list of outstanding tasks and facilitating the completion of all assigned items.
- Executing all operational and maintenance activities until the handover of the plant.
- Overseeing the 28-day reliability testing and compiling a handover report.
- Managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Ensuring the resolution of defects.
- Performing basic electrical and Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA) troubleshooting.
Candidate Profile:
If you possess experience in supervising the installation of process packages and field piping in an industrial setting, particularly in water and wastewater environments, we would like to hear from you.
In addition to an HNC in electrical engineering, CSCS, and SSSTS certifications, a solid understanding of health and safety protocols is essential. The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs is also required. We are looking for a candidate with a positive, proactive attitude who can collaborate effectively within a team.
