Job DescriptionAt Springer Nature, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Editorial Administrator to join our team in Chester, UK. As a key member of our Adis Rapid+ Journal Publishing team, you will provide essential scientific administrative support to ensure the successful and timely online publication of clinical journals.
Responsibilities:- Scientific Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the publishing team, including managing article workflow, coordinating projects with internal departments and external authors/clients, and ensuring timely publication of journal articles.
- Peer Review Coordination: Coordinate the peer review process for articles submitted to the journals, researching and allocating appropriate peer reviewers for manuscripts.
- Author Support: Assist authors with all stages of the publication process, ensuring adherence to journal guidelines and requirements.
- Editorial Support: Assist Editors with journal development tasks, such as Editorial and Advisory board development, email campaigns, researching new client contacts, and maintaining the current client contact database.
- Financial Support: Coordinate invoicing and financial support for articles published in the journals.
- Process Improvement: Work closely with the team to improve workflows and processes, providing novel publishing solutions and a quality service to authors/clients.
- Education: BSc or equivalent in a scientific discipline.
- Skills: Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet strict deadlines; excellent oral and written communication skills; exceptional attention to detail; effective problem-solving skills; high level of computer literacy; ability to proactively and calmly identify and address problems quickly; adaptable to change and willing to take on new and different responsibilities as they arise; keen interest in scientific publishing.
