Account Director

We are seeking an experienced Account Director to join our National Markets UK Broker team at Markel. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing account plans to ensure Markel is a preferred insurer for our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Own and develop current and future year account plans with each partner to ensure strategic goals and objectives are met.
- Build clear new business and portfolio phased production targets, closely managed to ensure revenue objectives are met.
- Lead key relationships at central and local levels within your panel of strategic brokers to ensure strategic development plans are well understood and implemented.
- Manage internal activity across business development, new business underwriting, and renewals to ensure on-the-ground efforts are focused and targets are delivered.
- Work with the Head of Strategic's to support central engagement with each partner broker and provide results and feedback/action plans to meet jointly agreed targets.
- Deep understanding of Markel risk appetite and features, advantages, and benefits of every product and proposition.
- High level of sales professionalism and discipline through timely and accurate activity reporting, CRM maintenance, and documentation of meetings.
- Understanding of project management techniques and partner management of internal and external customers.
- Ability to be a credible and engaging representative of Markel to cultivate long-term relationships within the industry.
