Job Summary:
Syntech Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead a 6-person team at their offices. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience managing a busy credit control function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Credit Control Strategy: Organise, plan, and implement a comprehensive credit control strategy to ensure timely collection of debts.
- Manage Credit Control Team: Lead and manage a team of credit control professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure they meet their targets.
- Debt Collection and Management: Ensure debt collection processes are followed, and accurate records are maintained. Develop and implement processes to improve debt collection efficiency.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide accurate management information, including financial analysis and reporting, to support business decision-making.
- Customer Credit Approval: Check customers' credit and approve or deny it based on industry standards.
- Payment Plans and Terms: Approve payment plans and set up terms and conditions for customers.
- Team Development and Coaching: Coach and mentor existing staff within the team to ensure continued development of their skills and career paths.
- Board-Level Reporting: Provide high-level management information to the Board on debt positions.
- Liaison with In-House Counsel: Liaise with in-house counsel regarding starting legal proceedings when required.
