ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Lead Specialist in Category Management is a critical position within our Sourcing and Procurement Team, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement. This role is essential for providing robust leadership to our Category Management team and developing a comprehensive strategy for managing our Supply Chain and Category Management functions.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of cultivating and leading high-performing teams, possess extensive market knowledge across all service lines and sectors relevant to Integral's operations, and will be responsible for crafting a supply chain and Category Management strategy that aligns with the business's objectives and delivers optimal results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Category Managers, ensuring clear objectives and fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development.
- Create a detailed Category Management program that defines commercial strategies for each category, identifying consolidation opportunities and aligning with the business's strategic direction.
- Maintain strong market awareness to inform category plans and proactively enhance category strategies and commercial outcomes.
- Oversee the Supply Chain, focusing on optimizing the Preferred Supplier List (PSL) and ensuring a comprehensive solution that meets all business sector needs.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Integral's self-delivery capabilities versus subcontracting needs, ensuring a robust supply chain solution.
- Collaborate with Senior Client Sourcing Leads to convert non-preferred spending to the PSL, maximizing conversion opportunities and reporting progress to the Integral Board.
- Achieve financial targets while seeking additional benefits and mitigating challenges such as inflation and material shortages.
- Drive the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program to enhance collaboration with our PSL and gain insights into their performance and strategic initiatives.
- Promote the PSL through various engagement events to enhance understanding and collaboration across the business.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders within Integral and JLL, ensuring effective participation in supply chain activities.
- Manage the Alliance Programme, focusing on value creation through collaboration and alignment with our partners.
- Support new business initiatives and protect existing client relationships through strategic supplier recommendations.
- Oversee the Supplier Onboarding process, ensuring compliance and risk management in supplier selection.
- Contribute to the development of the Integral Sourcing and Procurement Playbook and Innovations Playbook.
- Participate in annual strategy planning, aligning with the JLL Category Management team to maximize leverage opportunities.
- Support ESG and Diversity strategies by identifying opportunities to engage diverse suppliers.
- Collaborate with Health and Safety teams to ensure compliance among subcontractors.
- Work with Business Intelligence to maintain accurate supply chain data and reporting.
- Serve as the primary contact for Category Management inquiries and supply chain development opportunities.
- Provide updates on Category Management activities and key metrics for monthly reporting to leadership.

- Deliver results in challenging environments and fast-paced settings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience in Category Management within Hard FM Services or engineering sectors in the UK.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role within Category Management.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS or CPM, or equivalent advanced degrees.
- Proven experience in supplier management techniques and risk management.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and familiar with CAFM systems and e-Sourcing tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
