About the Company: Yolk Recruitment is excited to collaborate with a distinguished global organization seeking a proficient Accounts Payable Manager to enhance their finance team in Cheltenham. The Role: In the capacity of Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the complete accounts payable function, managing a team of 2-3 direct reports. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the prompt and precise processing of invoices, fostering robust vendor relationships, and continuously refining processes and controls. You will report to a dynamic and respected Financial Controller who is driving positive changes within an established team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the Accounts Payable team, offering guidance, training, and support.
- Supervise the comprehensive accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Guarantee timely invoice payments and compliance with payment terms.
- Manage month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Enhance and implement accounts payable processes, policies, and controls.
- Address escalated queries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the finance team on cash flow forecasting and budget management.
- Stay informed on best practices to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
About You: The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in accounts payable management and a proven history of leading successful teams. You should be detail-oriented, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
