We are seeking a freelance Educational Support Facilitator to oversee our weekly educational youth club initiative. This program is designed to provide enriching experiences for separated youth aged 16-21 years.


The facilitator will be responsible for the planning, execution, and management of educational and cultural activities within the framework of our Club Class program.


During each session, the facilitator will work alongside a dedicated youth support worker and additional support staff to ensure a safe and engaging environment for all participants.


This role presents a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of young refugees who arrive in the UK unaccompanied.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement educational activities tailored to the needs of participants, following our established Club Class framework.
  • Lead and facilitate the weekly sessions, ensuring they are engaging and beneficial for all attendees.
  • Occasionally recruit external volunteers to provide specialized sessions that enhance the program.
  • Ensure that sessions are participant-driven, allowing young people to contribute ideas for future activities through our feedback system.
  • Offer emotional support and guidance to the group, while referring individuals to their designated case workers for specific needs.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding for all young attendees, adhering strictly to our safeguarding policies.
  • Collaborate with the Programme Manager to assess the effectiveness of the Club Class, making necessary adjustments to meet the evolving needs of participants.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from participants to inform program development and support funding applications.
  • Maintain regular communication with the line manager, providing updates on session outcomes and future plans.
