Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and caring Care Assistant to join our team at Guiseley Manor Care Centre. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care to residents, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Support residents to maintain their independence and engage in activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, working closely with the care team to ensure residents receive the best possible care.
- Assist residents with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and medication management.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of belonging and well-being.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control and health and safety procedures.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you are equipped to provide the highest standard of care.
Requirements
- Experience in a care environment, preferably in a residential or nursing setting.
- Hold a Care Certificate or equivalent, or be willing to achieve this within the first 12 months of employment.
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of care principles and practices, including the 6 principles of care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and confident, with a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
