The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Communications Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, simulating, and implementing wireless military communication networks. Your projects will be diverse, working with various clients across multiple sectors, using a range of skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide systems engineering skills with regard to wireless military communication networks, specifically related to requirements analysis, design, simulation, and implementation.
  • Provide technical support to customer meetings.
  • Apply and scale engineering processes effectively.
  • Identify and collaborate with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain awareness across the wireless military radio systems domain.
  • Provide timely and accurate estimates for project deliverables and contribute to bids.

Essential Skills

  • Experience of simulating wireless communication networks.
  • Ability to conduct research into future military networking.
  • Knowledge of the military communication domain.
  • Understanding of wireless military communication and/or civil network architectures, protocols, and associated waveforms.

Desirable Knowledge

  • An understanding of Software Defined and Agile Networking.
  • Understanding of the application of AI/ML to networking.
  • Experience of implementing wireless communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of other defense disciplines, such as Electronic Warfare, Signals Intelligence, Radar, or GNSS.
  • Proficient or interest in software development.
  • Knowledge of military network security architectures.
  • OpenCPI.
