About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Margery Girling House in Felixstowe. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our customers, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to customers, including assistance with daily living tasks and medication administration.
  • Support customers with temporary or terminal illness, helping them to maintain their dignity and comfort.
  • Assist with eating and drinking, as well as light domestic duties such as bed making.
  • Support customers with social, physical activities, and mental stimulation, such as hobbies and recreation.
About You

We are looking for a warm and friendly individual with a natural caring nature, a great sense of humour, and a positive energy that brings a smile to people's faces. As a Care Assistant, you will be a great listener with a caring and supportive attitude, focusing on the individual and not the routine.

To be eligible for the £750 joining bonus, you must meet the following criteria: If you have not been working in the care industry for the previous 2 years OR have come straight from education (e.g., college, sixth form, apprenticeship). You must be employed for a minimum of 8 hours per week. The scheme must be a CQC registered provider in Suffolk. You must work for at least 12 weeks with Orwell and pass this starting period to qualify for the payment.
