Mulesoft API Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mulesoft API Developer to join our client's Data Engineering team within the IT department. This is a new role that will play a key part in the development, support, administration, and documentation of their API services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working collaboratively across the business to deliver changes and new data structures to support the work of the Systems Development and Business Intelligence teams. They will also provide technical support for business as usual requests relating to their enterprise API services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Mulesoft API platform to facilitate new implementations of the society's API services.
  • Design, implement, and maintain complex data engineering solutions to acquire and prepare data.
  • Create and maintain data pipelines to connect data within and between data stores, applications, and organisations.
  • Monitor cross-integration performance statistics by creating reports and customising OOTB solutions on various platforms.
  • Identify and investigate complex problems/issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Plan your own data modeling and design activities, selecting appropriate techniques and the correct level of detail for meeting assigned objectives.
  • Provide key advice and guidance to others using the data structures and associated components.
  • Implement physical database designs to support transactional data requirements for performance and availability.
  • Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of database and data warehouse concepts, design principles, architectures, software, and facilities.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in API Development & Management on the Mulesoft API Platform.
  • Established experience in a Data Engineering (or equivalent) role.
  • Strong SQL scripting capability and practical experience of databases.
  • Data modeling skills.
  • Experience of applying data quality standards.
  • Worked with clients to establish data pipeline requirements.
