Barrington James is seeking highly skilled and dedicated Animal Technicians to join our team. As a leading research institute, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment that allows our Animal Technicians to advance their careers and contribute to the advancement of animal technology.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily animal husbandry and welfare within our clients' facilities, ensuring the health and well-being of all animals.
- Perform regulated procedures, including experimental procedures, under the authority of Project Licences at the establishment.
- Conduct daily observations, maintain accurate records, and store data in writing or electronically.
- Contribute to the general maintenance of the facility and monitor and record environmental conditions in specific areas.
- Assist with duties in other areas of the Biological Resources Unit, as needed.
- Hold a home office license or be a Personal Licensee under the Animal (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986.
- Stay updated with advancements in animal technology and propose new procedures as needed.
- Exemplify the role of an outstanding animal technician, demonstrating a strong commitment to animal welfare and research excellence.
