About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lecturer in Health to join our team at Bournemouth & Poole College. As a Lecturer in Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to our Level 3 Health Studies students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions to students in the classroom.
  • Ensure that teaching is based on current best practice and is consistent with a high standard of practice.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Operate the teaching and assessment process efficiently and effectively in line with College policy and awarding body requirements.
Requirements
  • Teaching Qualification or willingness to gain one within the first two years of service.
  • Level 2 Qualification in English and Mathematics or willingness to undertake the Qualification while in post.
  • Knowledge of professional practice in the Health/Medical sector, with a Nursing background being advantageous.
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude to working with students of all ages, primarily 16-19 year olds.
