About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Northampton that caters for young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a class teacher and other support staff to provide support to students with Autism (ASC) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with SEN in a classroom environment
  • Assist with termly topics and activities
  • Provide one-to-one support to students as needed
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other support staff
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or adults with SEN
  • Passion for supporting students to achieve their best potential
  • Good interpersonal skills and confidence
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
Working Hours

Working hours are 08:30 - 3:40, with flexibility to work part-time or full-time. This role is ideal for university students, those looking to return to work after maternity, or those with part-time availability.
