CLASSROOM SUPERVISORS

Prospero Teaching is looking for dedicated individuals to take on the role of classroom supervisors in a highly regarded educational institution, available for both full-time and part-time positions.

As a classroom supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. This includes managing attendance, distributing assignments, and maintaining student discipline.

While strong behaviour management skills and experience with special educational needs (SEN) are preferred, prior teaching experience is not a prerequisite. Prospero Teaching welcomes both novice and seasoned classroom supervisors. You will be responsible for supervising various year groups from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 across multiple subjects. This role is ideal for individuals with flexible availability or those aspiring to pursue a teaching career in the future.


CLASSROOM SUPERVISOR ROLE SPECIFICS:

  • Overseeing the classroom in the teacher's absence and managing student conduct
  • Ensuring all students remain engaged with the lesson content
  • Adopting individualized strategies to build rapport with students
  • Collaborating with and supporting fellow staff members
  • Distributing and collecting assignments
  • Maintaining organization for the return of the class teacher
  • Completing attendance records

CLASSROOM SUPERVISOR CONTRACT DETAILS:

  • Position - Classroom Supervisors
  • Minimum rate of pay - GBP90 per day
  • Working hours - 8:00am - 4:00pm (full day)

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree, A Levels, or GCSEs (Math and English at grade C or above)
  • Previous experience in a UK educational setting is preferred
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs is advantageous
  • Current safeguarding and prevent training completed within the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS CLASSROOM SUPERVISOR ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING,

  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • You must provide two professional references related to child care covering the last two years
