Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team at Salvation Army Trading Co. Ltd. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of visual merchandising, and assisting in the daily running of the shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Assist customers throughout their visit, from entering the shop to completing their purchase, and actively promote and explain the benefits of Gift Aid and other promotions.
- Visual Merchandising: Help maintain high standards of visual merchandising throughout the shop, including displaying and arranging products in an attractive and appealing manner.
- Shop Operations: Assist in the sorting and preparation of donated stock, complete all company paperwork, including cashing up and banking procedures, and support the Shop Manager in all aspects of best practice and Health and Safety Procedures.
- Volunteer Management: Encourage and assist in the training of volunteers, and be responsible for the daily running of the shop and management of volunteers in the Manager's absence.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the Shop Manager and team of hardworking volunteers to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements:
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide a high level of service to customers.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a positive and supportive attitude.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, with a flexible and proactive approach.
- Initiative: Ability to take initiative and work independently, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
What We Offer:
