Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Planning Specialist to join our dynamic team at Collins Aerospace. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for establishing and driving project planning for our global operations initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, considering critical path, risk/opportunity analysis, cost analysis, and cross-functional prioritization.
  • Implement monitoring measures to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide metrics on project performance, including On-Time Delivery (OTD) and First Pass Yield (FPY).
  • Conduct regular project reviews to ensure early identification of project slippage and develop containment plans.
  • Champion the timely closure of past due order resolution by managing projects and allocating resources effectively.
  • Lead the Integrated Project Team (IPT) review of customer-specific held items, including engineering and sourcing issues.
  • Document lessons learned and provide feedback to the product team to eliminate recurrence of issues.

Requirements:

  • Related experience in an Operations/Material Planning environment.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, including constraints and risk identification.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating with stakeholders to drive positive results.
  • Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Passionate desire to excel against demanding customer expectations.
