As a pivotal member of the commercial finance division, you will report directly to the Head of Finance – Projects, collaborating closely with our sales, commercial, and operational teams.

This role presents an excellent opportunity to engage in a diverse commercial finance position, primarily focusing on delivering financial and commercial insights for bids, tenders, contracts, and pricing related to our framework contracts. Additionally, you will assist with various ad-hoc commercial evaluations and corporate initiatives as needed, while also supporting the finance team during peak periods such as month-end.

Your work will be split between our office and remote settings, allowing for flexibility in your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

This dynamic role encompasses end-to-end commercial finance responsibilities, where you will provide proactive financial support to our operations, commercial, and sales teams throughout the bidding, contracting, and pricing processes.

As a Commercial Finance Manager, you will engage collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders, offering revenue and profitability analyses, conducting sensitivity assessments, and identifying financial risks and opportunities to drive favorable outcomes.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Reviewing contracts and frameworks, providing insights on financial terms, including risks related to invoicing, payments, liabilities, and penalties.
  • Evaluating various finance business processes and recommending enhancements for efficiency.
  • Preparing diverse commercial evaluations.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc corporate projects.

Who You Are:

You are an accomplished finance professional, either a qualified accountant or in the later stages of qualification. With a commercial outlook, you possess a keen analytical mindset when examining data or contracts.

Building trusted relationships within EMIS is essential; you will collaborate with non-financial colleagues while delivering forecasting and detailed financial modeling reports.

In our fast-paced environment, the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to change is crucial.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Exceptional analytical abilities and attention to detail, with a capacity to grasp the broader context.
  • Experience in commercial finance, particularly in pricing strategies and contracting.
  • Knowledge or experience in conducting commercial evaluations.
  • Proficient Excel skills, including complex modeling capabilities.
  • Qualified accountant (ACMA/ACA/ACCA) or nearing qualification.
