The Role: Marine Drilling Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marine Drilling Operations Specialist to join our Falmouth office. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of geotechnical drilling projects within the Europe and Africa (EUAF) region.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the deployment of equipment, consumables, documentation, and personnel to drilling sites.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project planning and execution on geotechnical drilling vessels operating in the EUAF region.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and safety protocols throughout all phases of operations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, addressing operational challenges and troubleshooting issues.
  • Contribute to project documentation, including reports, plans, and procedures.
  • Participate in QHSSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) initiatives, including incident investigation and management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a supervisor or manager in the geotechnical drilling industry.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical drilling operations, equipment, and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience working in an onshore setting, with occasional site visits.
