Role Overview

Yodel is seeking a skilled Security Guard to join our team in Wednesbury. As a Security Guard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and safety of our assets, people, processes, and site.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting physical patrols and CCTV monitoring to safeguard the perimeter and site assets.
  • Guarding the site pedestrian entrance through physical patrols and use of the intercom system.
  • Operating the warehouse sterile entrance area, monitoring staff through stationary scanners, wand scanners, physical searches, and bag searches.
  • Responding to live incidents and contacting relevant authorities as required.
  • Reporting security incidents through our internal electronic reporting system.
  • Completing incident report logs and witness statements as necessary.
  • Investigating incidents using CCTV systems and communicating with frontline staff and the warehouse management team.
  • Communicating and ensuring staff members are aware of correct security procedures around the site and reporting breaches.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid SIA Licence.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience working as part of a Security Team.
  • Prior experience in using CCTV systems.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working in the security industry previously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
