Job Title: Area Maintenance Technician

Join our client, City Facilities Management, a leading integrated FM company, in this exciting opportunity to work as an Area Maintenance Technician.

Job Summary:

This is a key position responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations. As the first point of contact for maintenance issues, you will assess requirements and carry out repairs as necessary. Your technical expertise will ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and up to date.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and assess the requirements of the job, carrying out repairs as and where necessary.
  • Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
  • Advise the on-site customer (manager) of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the site.
  • Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by City management.
  • Carry out minor alterations and installations within your technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
  • Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sites as designated by City management.
  • Attend training courses as and where necessary to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in building maintenance is essential.
  • Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. commercial ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves.
  • Quality of repairs and maintenance.
  • Response to service call requests within agreed response times.
  • Achievement of PPM schedule within agreed timescales.
  • Maintenance of the Health and Safety policy.
