Teaching Opportunity in Construction

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lecturer to join our team at South Thames Colleges Group. As a Construction Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to students in the Construction department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lectures, set and mark coursework, and conduct practical activities and field work in the area of Construction (Level 1 to Level 5)
  • Select and implement appropriate assessment methods and criteria, and provide constructive feedback to students
  • Work closely with employers to develop and deliver curriculum that meets industry needs
  • Monitor and review student progress, and implement target setting and tracking

Requirements:

  • Recent experience of teaching Construction in an FE College
  • Successful record of outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment
  • Strong evidence of effective employer engagement in curriculum design and delivery
  • Qualified to degree level, with a strong working knowledge of the current framework for teaching, learning, assessment, and quality assurance
