Senior Electronics Engineer

Premier Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Engineer to join our R&D Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the full product life cycle development of new products, including hardware, firmware, and software modules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Development: Design and develop new products from concept to launch, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and performance.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Emerging Technologies: Identify and evaluate emerging technologies that can be applied to our products, ensuring we stay ahead of the competition.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Design Maintenance: Maintain and update existing designs to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, identifying and resolving problems quickly and efficiently.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • PCB Design: Design and layout printed circuit boards (PCBs) using industry-standard tools and techniques.
  • Circuit Design: Design and develop analogue and digital circuits, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and performance.
  • Sensor Design: Design and develop sensors and sensor systems, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and performance.
  • Electronics Prototyping: Design and develop prototypes of new products, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and performance.
  • Embedded Systems: Design and develop embedded systems, including microcontrollers and peripherals.
Nice to Have:
  • RTOS: Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), including FreeRTOS.
  • SMT: Experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT).
  • Electro-Mechanical Design: Experience with electro-mechanical design, including design for hazardous environments.
