Business Software Applications Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Business Software Applications Teacher to join our team at the Central Virginia Correction Unit #13. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective Career and Technical instruction in the assigned trade area, assisting students to complete required competencies, and maintaining accurate student records.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Career and Technical instruction in the assigned trade area, ensuring students complete required competencies.
- Assist students in completing required competencies for the assigned trade area.
- Maintain accurate and current student records.
- Demonstrate effective classroom or lab management, ensuring the lab operates in compliance with all aspects of safety management.
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a four-year degree in Business/Information Technology or a High School Diploma with equivalent experience. Additionally, they must be eligible for a Collegiate license from the Department of Education with an endorsement in Business/Information Technology. 'MS Office Specialist' Certification is required for those without a four-year degree in Business Administration. Applicants must also be eligible for a teaching certificate from the Department of Education.
Preferred qualifications include five years' experience in the related trade/field, knowledge of all phases of the trade area, and the ability to work with adult inmates in a classroom/lab environment. The successful candidate will also possess the demonstrated ability to supervise inmates and aides in the correctional facility and facilitate other Correctional Education instructors.
