We are seeking an exceptional commercial professional to join our team as an Interim Head of HR Shared Services. This is a unique opportunity to work with Essex County Council, a leading provider of public services, and contribute to the development of our HR shared services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our HR shared services
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address HR service gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Lead the development and delivery of HR services, including organization design, workforce planning, learning and development, and employment vetting
- Provide commercial acumen and business expertise to inform HR service decisions and drive financial sustainability
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including HR leaders and senior management
- Proven track record of delivering commercial and operational improvements in a HR shared services environment
- Strong business acumen and ability to analyze complex data to inform decision-making
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and lead cross-functional projects
- Strong understanding of HR service delivery and the ability to develop and implement strategic plans to improve service quality and efficiency
