An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager to join the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust's established Programme Management Office (PMO). The role will focus on the delivery of digital projects within the trust and will work with subject matter experts, frontline staff, clinicians, and corporate teams to formulate and deliver a range of transformational digital projects that are ambitious and innovative, enabling the Trust and the wider system to achieve its strategic objectives in line with local and national policy.
Main Responsibilities- Project delivery and management
- Identifying suitable project management methodologies
- Closely monitoring and updating project schedules and budgets
- Preparing progress reports and action points
- Liaising with key stakeholders
The Programme Manager will be responsible for following Trust project management processes and governance arrangements, reporting to the PMO Portfolio Delivery Manager. The PMO department operates an ethos of best practice techniques in line with industry standards. Working closely with programme assurance colleagues, the Programme Manager will abide by Trust governance arrangements and will contribute to effective management of resources, risks, and issues.
Requirements- Demonstrable experience of a senior management, programme management or change leadership role
- Possess an advanced professional project management qualification such as APM, PRINCE2 or MSP
- Highly effective analysis and interpretation skills
- Significant capability to understand and analyse multiple complex issues simultaneously
- Excellent IT skills, able to use a wide range of software packages
- Significant experience of change management, service improvement or practice improvement with demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Knowledge of current government policies regarding change programmes within the NHS / government depts
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Leadership experience and significant line management experience
- In-depth working knowledge of Programme / Project management, governance and assurance, risk management and benefit management
