Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Garment Technologist to join our Product Development team at House of CB. As a key member of our technical team, you will play a crucial role in the development of our high-quality garments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient project execution.
  • Work closely with designers to ensure collection feasibility and accuracy at the sketching stage.
  • Source and handle fabrics to meet design requirements, considering MOQ and lead times.
  • Collaborate with the Product Development team to create comprehensive tech packs with informed construction knowledge.
  • Decide on suitable finishes, construction methods, and hardware for each garment.
  • Proofread tech packs to identify and address visible issues and errors.
  • Provide a clear overview of each collection to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance garment quality.
  • Communicate with offshore factories via our in-house computer system to address technical queries.
  • Lead fit meetings for collections and provide fit comments to sampling teams.
  • Work with a Junior Garment Technician to provide fit feedback and ensure accurate technical packs.
  • Monitor sampling teams to ensure scheduling alignment.
  • Potential visits to offshore factories to ensure quality control and process optimization.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in Excel, basic Illustrator, and ability to quickly learn new computer systems.
  • Confident in garment construction and pattern cutting techniques.
  • Excellent fabric knowledge and understanding of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address issues before they reach sampling or during the sampling stage.
  • Able to measure garments accurately.
  • 4-5 years of experience in a similar or complementary role.
