Lead Data Steward Opportunity at MRC Mary Lyon Centre

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Steward to join our data modelling team at the MRC Mary Lyon Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the direction of our data modelling efforts, mentoring junior colleagues, and ensuring the quality and integrity of our data platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with stakeholders to survey metadata and data model requirements for various scientific data modalities
  • Contribute to shaping new standards for annotating scientific datasets
  • Produce high-quality documentation and data dictionaries for collaborative open-source pipelines
  • Build skills in SQL, RDF, knowledge engineering, and other technical domains as required
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and the scientific community using various platforms
Requirements:
  • A strong life sciences or computational degree, or relevant work experience
