Glu Recruit is seeking a highly experienced Construction Director Designate to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the construction side of our business and driving growth through strategic project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of projects safely, on time, in full, and ahead of budget.
- Manage projects as a project manager, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve company safety and quality objectives.
- Lead and motivate construction teams to work in accordance with approved documents and company policies.
- Identify and develop opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Deliver profitable projects and maintain/promote good work practices.
- Create and develop a highly motivated team, working within all company processes, policies, and procedures.
Main Duties:
- Manage projects and site crews, including ordering plant and materials, van hire, and crew management.
- Develop and manage a management team to deliver projects.
- Prepare and achieve approval of all RAMS and quality documentation with clients.
- Liaise with clients to meet their requirements, report and manage financial budgets, recruit and manage office and site employees.
- Plan and programme works, liaise with design departments to ensure construction drawings are relevant, manage formwork, and establish suppliers for projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in specialist construction companies managing responsibilities as outlined above.
- CPCS and other construction-related training and achievements.
- Knowledge and ability to create RAMS and safe systems of work in a construction environment.
- Experience managing site construction personnel/teams, attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word at a good business level; Microsoft Project preferred.
