About the Role

This is a permanent position offering great career progression opportunities through the business. The successful candidate will have previous experience of a similar supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate the production team to ensure the manufacture of quality products and delivery of finished goods in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Work with peers to implement standard global processes and best practices that consistently deliver products to the highest standards.
  • Ensure manufacturing objectives are achieved, along with monthly production schedule targets.
  • Optimise efficiency on an ongoing basis through the utilisation of lean techniques and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures within the manufacturing environment.
  • Create, implement, and manage production performance metrics.
  • Work with the engineering team to ensure that production issues are being addressed and satisfactorily resolved.
Requirements
  • HNC or above, or equivalent work experience, with the ability to directly support the production line in a hand-on capacity.
  • Excellent leadership and team building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident to generate and formally present information to small and large groups of people.
  • Ability to drive results and maintain personal accountability.
  • Ability to build, develop, and foster talent by creating a positive continuous learning environment.
  • Excellent organisation skills, focused on execution with strong attention to detail.
  • Must show adaptability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • Team orientated, responsive and customer focused.
  • Right to work in the UK.
