We invite you to be part of the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team, where we focus on maintaining and enhancing technologies within the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.
Job Purpose:
We seek a motivated technician who enjoys teamwork and is committed to maintaining equipment to high safety and quality standards. Your role will involve planned preventative maintenance, proactively addressing issues, and enhancing equipment availability and performance.
Shift Pattern:
This position requires flexibility to work non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends.
Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Reliability Engineering Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
- Prioritizing health and safety in all tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Conducting planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment.
- Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns, communicating effectively with affected parties, and resolving issues efficiently.
- Contributing to continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and providing feedback for enhancements.
- Ensuring high levels of equipment availability for internal customers.
- Collaborating with and learning from Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians.
- Managing contractors effectively.
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
- A completed engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or a minimum qualification of NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- Multi-skilled expertise in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Proficiency in fault finding within Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and automation systems.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Experience with conveyor maintenance and motor controllers/inverters.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:
- Apprentice trained, HNC, HND, BSc, or BEng.
- Experience with high voltage switching.
- Familiarity with sortation machines.
- Experience in maintaining and configuring barcode scanners.
- Knowledge of print and apply machines.
- Experience in fault finding on building equipment such as HVAC, dock doors, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks.
