Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Chef to join our team at Amica Care Trust. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our residents receive delicious and nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the kitchen team, ensuring that all staff are trained and equipped to provide exceptional service.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse needs of our residents, taking into account their dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Oversee the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring that they are presented in an attractive and appetizing manner.
  • Monitor stock levels and waste, ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently and within budget.
  • Collaborate with our care team to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care and support.

Requirements

  • Level 2 or 3 equivalent qualification in a kitchen and cookery, with previous experience of running a kitchen.
  • Excellent staff management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work within our staff values, promoting a positive and respectful attitude towards our residents and colleagues.
  • Senior member of the team, expected to act as a role model and promote a culture of excellence.
