We are seeking a qualified finance professional to support and deliver insight to the Buying and Merchandising function, the core of our off-price business.
About the Role- Partner with Buying Managers and Directors to set liquidity targets and ensure merchandise Sales and Inventory plans are met.
- Provide periodic and ad-hoc performance reports to aid decision making and help meet overall business goals.
- Drive forward data objectives and modernise the way we manage our data using tools such as Alteryx and Power BI.
- Prepare scenario analysis on Liquidity/OTB position to identify risks and opportunities to influence management decision making.
- Develop and deliver presentations on business performance to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Drive process and excel model simplification, consistency and repeatability to drive efficiencies.
- Qualified accountant with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to maintain and develop financial models.
- Ability to business partner and explain financials to non-financial personnel.
- Developed analytical skills and problem solving skills.
- Ability to evaluate and make recommendations rather than simply providing reports.
- Flexibility in approach and a willingness to go beyond the defined role.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment.
