Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Cashier to join our team at Family Law Partners. As a Legal Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the SAR Accounts Rules and AML regulations in all financial tasks.
- Log funds, note protected amounts, and enter anticipated and actual disbursements onto the ledgers.
- Reconcile LEAP client accounts to the Lloyds client bank account daily and save for later review.
- Prepare regular payment instructions for the Directors, including client-to-office transfers, payment information for disbursements, overhead invoices, expenses, and consultants.
- Review the bank office account to ensure all payment instructions have been actioned.
- Deal with any accounts queries that may arise.
- Advise the Directors of any potential SAR or breach issues.
- Prepare month-end reports and reconciliations for signing.
- Regularly monitor credit balances to ensure timely return of funds to clients.
- Adhere to the Company Manual and suggest improvements to processes.
- Assist the Directors with any matters that may arise.
Requirements
- 5 years of recent experience in a similar role, with experience in family law being advantageous.
- Working knowledge of SAR Accounts Rules and AML compliance.
- Experience with LEAP and Xero, with Xero experience being highly advantageous.
