About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Attendance Administrator and Family Support Worker to join our team at Archway Learning Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, organizing, and monitoring student attendance and punctuality matters to ensure targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective attendance and punctuality strategies to improve student engagement and wellbeing.
- Work closely with families to identify and address attendance and punctuality issues, providing targeted support and guidance.
- Collaborate with relevant agencies, including the Educational Welfare Service, to ensure effective referrals and support for students with attendance and punctuality concerns.
- Conduct home visits to investigate and challenge non-attendance, working with families to develop individual action plans to improve attendance and punctuality.
- Provide specialist knowledge and advice on attendance and punctuality issues to the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the development of effective attendance and punctuality strategies.
- Support student welfare duties, including dealing with sick students, liaising with parents/carers, and relevant staff.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in attendance and family support work, with a strong understanding of attendance and punctuality issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including the Education Act 1996 and the Children Act 1989.
