About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional IT Engineer to join our team at Galliford Try. As a key member of our Environment Business, you will be responsible for providing IT support to our offices and sites within your region, as well as providing support to other engineers when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide IT support to end users and the business, including incident and request ticket based activities
  • Scope and deploy new sites, including gathering requirements, producing proposals, and managing IT installation
  • Act as a point of escalation for customers and suppliers
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers, and articulate and translate IT terminology to the business
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to set and deliver expectations
  • Ability to take ownership of workloads and make decisions to ensure successful delivery
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address both technical and non-technical issues
  • Resilience and ability to balance genuine escalations with queue jumping
Technical Requirements
  • Knowledge of supporting, managing, and deploying Operating Systems (Windows and ) along with associated hardware
  • Experience of Microsoft Office, including desktop and cloud-based applications
  • Understanding of network technologies and products, such as MPLS, ADSL, G, and radio
  • Experience of unified communications, including VOIP and Skype Business, with exposure to Video Conferencing
  • Active Directory User and Computer Administration
  • Familiarity with tablet and mobile technology, with exposure to MDM solutions, preferably Intune
