Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a diverse caseload of insolvency matters, with a strong emphasis on contentious insolvency.
  • Advise clients on all aspects of insolvency law, including insolvency practitioners, creditors, and companies.
  • Handle complex insolvency litigation, including misfeasance claims, director disqualification proceedings, asset recovery, and contentious winding-up petitions.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, offering commercially astute legal advice.
  • Play an active role in business development, marketing the firm's insolvency services, and expanding the client base.
  • Mentor and supervise junior solicitors and support staff, providing guidance and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to offer a seamless service to clients across multiple legal disciplines.
Requirements:
  • A qualified Solicitor with 8-10 years PQE in insolvency law, with a proven track record in contentious insolvency matters.
  • Extensive experience in handling complex litigation and advisory work in the insolvency field.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and a strong understanding of insolvency legislation and procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships, with a commercial mindset and strong negotiation skills.
  • A strategic thinker with leadership qualities and a proactive approach to business development.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice.
  • A team player who can work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
