Trainee Estimating Engineer (Earthworks, Groundworks and Civil Engineering)

Join a forward-thinking Civil-Engineering and Groundworks company as a Trainee Estimating Engineer, working with a variety of housebuilders including Keepmoat, Bellway, St Modwen and Miller Homes.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in estimating, earthworks, and groundworks, with a focus on using CAD skills to support the Estimating Department with measures, producing accurate earthwork volumetric drawings on 3D Civils, and creating cross section drawings from 3D earthwork drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Estimating Department with measures using CAD skills
  • Produce accurate earthwork volumetric drawings on 3D Civils
  • Create cross section drawings from 3D earthwork drawings
  • Interrogate construction drawings and information to determine construction depths
  • Liaise with clients' technical/engineering department to request information necessary for producing earthwork models
  • Gain exposure to terrain models for GS operated plant
